Better again, succesfull treatment.

Last wednesday I was in the Dijkzigt Hospital in Rotterdam to have a "Dotter" treatment.
Everything went very well.
They put another "stent" in one of my heart arteries.
Now I have four!!
But I have already been running and racing on my Koga Myata racing bike.
Now problems with my heart anymore: hallejua!!
From now on I will be taking care to eat as much fruits, vegetables, nuts and fish as possible.
Hopefully this was the last time I had problems with my engine.

Back to hospital

In 2002 I was in hospital for treatment to clogged heart arteries.
They put three "stents" in the arteries of my heart to keep them open.
Alas there is another problem with one of my heart arteries and I have to be treated again.
Another stent will be put inside the artery to keep it open.
This will happen in the Dijkzigt Hospital in Rotterdam on 26 november.
Furthermore the aorta valve is leaking, but an operation and implanting an bio valve is luckily postponed to a future time. The leaking is not serious enough now.
I hope I can be running, playing tennis and sailing away solo for some time will be possible again in the next year.
I wish all readers a very sound health and please do not te eat fat food!!

Sailing trip from Amsterdam to Baarn

On 7 and 8 November I helped to deliver the "Neeltje S" to her winterharbour in Baarn.
We were very lucky with the weather: beautifull sunshine and a fresh breeze.
Wonderfull sailing with this heavy (17 tons) steel 40 feet Koopmans design.
She sails so easily and has everything to sail around the world.
We were accompanied by the "Nina", a beautifull Marieholm: see photo.

Sailing trip with a Alden Schooner

Saturday I made a sailing trip from Den Helder to Amsterdam over the sea.
The trip from Den Helder to IJmuiden (40 miles) took us only 4 hours!!
It is a lovely wooden schooner of approximately 16 meter.
Designed by John G. Alden and built in 1985.
It took the first owner 12 years to built and he did a marvellous job.
Roy, the owner, is the harbourmaster of the marina where my boat is on the hard.

Here are a few pictures.
